At Priory Rentals we get asked plenty of questions from people all the time so we thought it was about time we went through some of the most commonly asked questions so you know everything you need to before you book your motorhome.

How do I book a motorhome rental?

There are several ways to book your motorhome. You can register your interest online and we will contact you, or you can phone our office for further information and to check availability. Upon booking you will need to pay a non-refundable booking deposit of £250.00 or full payment if it’s a late booking. The full balance will need to be paid no later than 6 weeks before collection.As insurance security you will be asked to leave a refundable security deposit of £500 to £1000 upon collection. This acts as an insurance excess during your hire, and will be refunded provided that the vehicle is returned clean and undamaged as described in our terms and conditions. In the event of an insurance claim the cost of the damage or claim will be deducted from your deposit.

What’s the minimum period I can rent a motorhome for?

The minimum rental period is 3 nights (weekend hire). In high season JUNE JULY AUGUST the minimum period is 7 nights, however we are flexible pending availability . In low season please call the office for late deals.

What day & time can I collect my motorhome?

Depending on the length of hire these are options:

  • Weekly vehicle hire (or multiple weeks) collection days any bar Sunday. Vehicles are available for collection from 3pm and must be returned for 11am.
  • 4 night short breaks (may not be available July & August) collection days any bar Sunday. Vehicles are available for collection from 3pm and must be returned for 11am.
  • 3 night short breaks (may not be available July & August) collection days any bar Sunday. Vehicles are available for collection from 3pm and must be returned for 11am.

Where can I view or collect the motorhome?

Please call our office if you wish to view a vehicle as it might be out on hire. Viewings must take place at our Lancashire branch unless the motorhome is available at Northwich, however we cannot transport to Northwich especially for a viewing. Who can drive the motorhomes?

Anyone between the ages of 25-75 with 2 years driving experience and a clean licence (6 minor points)

For our Swift Kontiki, Auto Trail Arapaho or our Roller Team 707 you must have a category C1 on your licence.

If you have more convictions please contact us with your endorsements and we’ll certainly try to assist in your motorhome hire.

What documents do I need to provide when I collect a vehicle?

Your full driving licence and two proofs of address – These can be utility bills, bank statements or credit card bills, however they do need to be dated within the last 3 months

What items do I need to bring/take ?

We provide a range of crockery, cutlery and utensils for you to use along with a range of safety equipment. You will need to provide your own bedding such as pillows and sleeping bags, towels, although these can be provided at an additional cost.

Can I take my Motorhome abroad

Of course you can take our motor home to Europe/Ireland, although prior notice must be authorised before your date of travel. An additional £95/week or hire is charged to cover green cards and additional insurance costs.

What if I accidentally damage the motorhome?

Keep calm – accidents happen, call our offices and advise what damage has occurred we might be able to rectify it over the phone or if out of hours, text for minor damage or call our 24hr line where you will be given further instructions.
